Software engineer · Applied AI · Product builder

I turn complex ideas into useful software.

I'm Bruno Soares, an independent software engineer building products across AI, backend systems, and thoughtful interfaces. I connect product decisions to code that people can rely on.

Selected work

Products shaped around real problems.

I take ideas from product discovery through implementation, security, and operation. Each project is shown at its actual stage of maturity.

AI software engineering platform

Vectora

A developer environment where people and AI agents work in the same project, with shared code context, tools, and human oversight.

Its published feature set includes a native conversation loop, 10 specialized subagents, multi-agent Kanban, a Context Graph for around 30 languages, hybrid RAG, and integrated terminal, Git, and browser workbenches. Maturity varies by capability as the product evolves.

Godot · C++ · GDExtension

Ability System

An open-source, data-driven ability framework for Godot 4.x, built with C++ and GDExtension.

Tag hierarchies, ability phases, composable Resources, and multiplayer prediction and rollback are central to its design.

Preparing for public distribution; compatibility and CI are evolving.

Restaurant operations · B2B

Delivery Express

A product concept for restaurant menus and ordering, designed around the everyday flow from browsing a menu to managing an order.

The experience covers categories, search, item variations, add-ons, pricing, cart, checkout, and order management, with a mobile-first product design.

In active development. A dedicated subdomain site is planned for a future stage.

How I work

Engineering across the whole product.

I enjoy the seams between disciplines: where a user need becomes a system, where an agent meets real permissions, and where a prototype becomes dependable software.

01

Applied AI & agents

Tool-using agents, human approval, subagents, memory, retrieval, model routing, and evaluation workflows.

02

Backend & infrastructure

Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, APIs, persistence, distributed workflows, and developer tooling.

03

Interfaces & product

React, TypeScript, TanStack, Tailwind, desktop apps, UX flows, and translating product ideas into usable interfaces.

04

Quality & security

Negative and regression tests, CI, observability, workspace isolation, credential protection, and clear maturity signals.

A little about me

Product-minded by nature. Engineer by practice.

I started learning and building software in 2020, alongside work in customer-facing and operational roles. That experience keeps my engineering grounded in how people actually use tools and where everyday work gets stuck.

Today I focus on applied AI and full stack products. Vectora is my main independent project: a place to explore agent runtimes, developer workbenches, safety boundaries, and the discipline of shipping software in small, reviewable steps.

A principle I build by

“Make the powerful parts useful, observable, and under human control.”
